FAQs
How do I know if I need a lawyer?
If you're signing something, buying or selling something significant, dealing with a business dispute, or planning your financial future — it's worth getting advice. Legal issues rarely get simpler by waiting. A short conversation with us is often all it takes to understand your options.
Can Legatum Law help with both personal and business legal matters?
Yes. We work with individuals and families on matters like property purchases, wills and estate planning, as well as with business owners on contracts, company structures, commercial transactions, and many more. Many of our clients come to us for both.
How much will it cost?
Legal costs vary depending on the nature and complexity of your matter. We provide clear fee information upfront so you know what to expect before any work begins. We believe in transparent pricing - no surprises.
I've been given a contract to sign — should I get legal advice first?
Yes. Whether it's a lease, a business agreement, or a property contract, having a solicitor review it before you sign can save significant time, money, and stress down the track. It's one of the most practical things you can do to protect yourself.
What is a will, and why do I need one?
A will is one of the most thoughtful things you can do for the people you love. It sets out how you want your assets distributed after your death, ensuring your wishes are honoured, your legacy is protected, and your family is spared unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. Without one, your estate is distributed according to a fixed legal formula that may not reflect what you would have wanted.
How do I get started - do I need to know exactly what I need before I call?
Not at all. Many of our clients come to us unsure of where to start, and that's completely fine. Get in touch and we'll take the time to understand your circumstances and point you in the right direction.
